Features Audio Warp - A new real-time Timestretching algorithm has been implemented to offer real-time tempo and pitch editing. Play Order Track - The new intuitive Play Order Track allows pattern-based arranging within the Cubase SX3 environment for a new level of creative music making. Inplace MIDI Editing - MIDI events can now be edited directly from within the project window. This allows for ultra-fast direct MIDI event editing in context with audio or video. A huge time-saver! MIDI Device Maps - Editing external MIDI devices is now an integrated part of Cubase. External MIDI device editing panels can be created or imported from VST Mixer Maps. This allows for real-time control, automation and snapshot automation. User-Definable Workspaces - User-definable Workspaces (window layouts) help organise your desktop. Create and save a separate workspace for each step of the production process and then switch Workspaces on the fly, as if working on multiple computers or monitors. Volume Envelopes - An new additional way of controlling the dynamics of a part. The pen tool can be used to draw volume curves directly on parts. These curves will be locked to the part and move with the part. This is great for fixing level problems within a part without using track automation. External Effects Plugins - Instead of having to use outboard mixers, Cubase SX3 users can run their audio tracks and virtual instruments though external signal processors using the VST mixer.
